The ¡°Heavenly Street¡± is a street from the sky. It is a symbol, also a dreamland. Available in all modern cities, it is a consumption paradise, a dreamlike cityscape, and a fairyland of modern times.

It seems to be absurd that ¡°Heavenly Street¡± is used to describe the sculptures and paintings of these nine young artists, because none of them has depicted any dream of heaven. On the contrary, the artists have all portrayed in an unaffected manner corners of the streets in reality. This is the world, instead of the heaven. For some reason, however, these ¡°grimy¡± and ¡°ugly¡± streetscapes, which have been abandoned by modern cities, remind us of the beautiful Heavenly Street. And even, we suddenly feel horrified and tremble with fear.
